Review: 2012

2012
Take a look at this week's release schedule: the distinctions between the choices couldn't be more clear. If I want to go and see a film, I'll go and see Michael Haneke's The White Ribbon. If I want to go and see a movie, I'll go and see Roland Emmerich's 2012.

Susan, he is President of the Good ol's USofA, and will be President still in 2012.
So, it's not that unlikely that you heard that... I haven't seen it, it looks bollocks.

Now don't laugh, but I had a great time watching this. Sure it's corny and the plot is lame...have you ever seen a disaster movie before? Effects were immense, and that's the one and only reason to watch. That and Woody Harrelson.

Seriously, this is two-and-a-half hours long? I saw enough in the trailer.

I've seen the world in peril so many times, I just don't care anymore.

I'll wait for TV, if I've got nothing else to do.

Where's that clip of just the car shaking around with no CGI destruction?

These films are all interchangeable, guess Cusack needed a paycheck for something.
I mean come on, how many more times do you need to see stuff being smashed and crushed like a multimillion dollar version of Sim City when it all goes wrong and you unleash disasters before uninstalling?

Cuz I'm praying for rain
And I'm praying for tidal waves
I wanna see the ground give way.
I wanna watch it all go down.
Mom please flush it all away.
I wanna see it go right in and down.
I wanna watch it go right in.
Watch you flush it all away.

Nice article there, Ali boy. I giggled at the TM stuff. Will definitely watch this in the theater, seems like a great experience.

Woody Harrelson added a bit of a human being with his nut. And nice computer presentation of his, too.

Yet, after removing all that stunning effects, the film is empty like Paris Hilton's skull.

Hate to say it, but still had fun watching it. Or to be more precise - to watch the world going down.
