A lovely perk of the job

I seem to have come down with a deadly virus - somewhere between H1N1 and the common cold - so have been laid up in bed all weekend, with nothing but Frasier DVD boxsets to keep me company. That is, until this morning, when I received an awesome awards screener.

If I may, I'd like to sum up my feeling on The Tree of Life by regurgitating what I wrote on Ali's original review:

That said, I agree that the child actors were absolutely amazing and the only redeemable thing about the movie for me, and, though they may not be Oscar-worthy, I do hope they get recognized.

Got this via OFCS too and watched it over the weekend. Even with all the reviews I read, I still wasn't expecting it to be like that. Not sure I enjoyed it, but it was an amazing achievement all the same.

Bet it gets overlooked for the Oscars though.
