Review: Angels & Demons

Angels & Demons
Tom Hanks adopts his serious face: "I need to get to a library... fast!" Never has one line damned a film so completely. The book might have sold 83 billion copies, but The Da Vinci Code movie was turgid, self-important and - oddly, for a movie about the lineage of Jesus Christ - terminally dull. I think I'll take a raincheck on this one, there are too many movies I really want to see out right now for me to, like Nick says, pay £8 to roll my eyes and scoff for 2 hours.
Plus, I take offence at having to insert my own Pope Idol joke. That's what you're for Ali.
Mind you, the one I inserted was a classic.

Not a Tom Hanks fan and The Da Vinci Code made my fists explode in anger with it's simpleton style.
So a pass on this for me. Not even a STOLEN INTERNET PIRATES version.

This is a big pile of meh to me. I tried reading The Da Vinci Code and after 30 pages of thinking "This is a bit Mills and Boon do Jesus" I gave up. Same happened with the film.
And as I sit here typing this, the ad for A & D comes up. Portrayed as epic themes but I would guess absolutely no substance or intelligence. No way I'm paying money to sit in the cinema and roll my eyes for 2 hours.
