Batman 3 rumour round-up

The first of what's sure to be a regularly and increasingly ridiculous Batman sequel rumour round-up. Are they true? (*shakes Official Batman Magic 8-Ball*) 'Gotham needs a hero with a face'. Hmm, thanks.

No Ali, no. The very point of Batman is that he is a real human hero in a world of alien superheroes.
He's the world's greatest detective, and of COURSE he exists in the same universe that Superman lives in; Batman is the greyness in Supe's black and white world.

Batman and Superman should not exist in the same universe. This should be rule #1. I'm quite insistent on this fact. It'd change BB/TDK from awesome movies set in the (not quite) real world, to movies where people can fly and come from alien planets.

Sorry to be such a nerd on this one, but no. Just no. Superman can have his own films to suck in.

I think they could still use the Joker from Arkham, as long as they keep him in shadow. I vote Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

I maintain that killing off Dent in The Dark Knight was a mistake. Given where it left off, it would seem a natural progression for the 3rd film to address Authority Vs The Outlaw and Dent would have been perfect to take the role of corrupt authority. Still I have faith that this will be worth waiting for.
