Darren Aronofsky offered Wolverine 2

Reports are suggesting that arthouse director Darren Aaron Aronofsky (middle name may not be factual) has been officially offered the hot-seat for Wolverine 2. Wonder if Werner Herzog fancies Ghost Rider 2?

I'm partially with Chris - no way would we get a genuine Aronofsky take of Wolverine, That said I have no problem with the chap doing this to take the paycheck, thereby allowing him to spend more time in the future producing the kind of movies he does best.

Artistic intergrity and all that? Fuck it. We've all got to live on something.

No thanks. I'd much rather see Aronofsky do something interesting and original. Plus, I would imagine that there is no way he'd be given free reign on a project like this. There would be nothing but meddling from the studio, as this is one of their big tentpole franchises, and we'd be lucky if any of Aronofsky's vision showed up in the finished project.

Seriously, this well has run dry, and Aronofsky should stay as far away from it as possible.
