The man is an over-acting Tool but he completely suits Wild at Heart. Lynch & Cage (sounds like a crime-fighting gay couple) work well, mainly because you're mostly scratching your head thinking "What the fu....?" and Cage doing his Spoon-Face Maniac is the least of the bizarre.

Maybe that was the forerunner to "How'd it get burned? HOW'D IT GET BURNED?"

Others that almost made this list were the scene where he eats a live cockroach in Vampire's Kiss, and most of his theatric from Face/Off, in particular the scene where he gets strung out on drugs, or perhaps where he starts singing "I'm ready... ready for the big ride, bay-bee!"

That. Was. Brilliant.

I like the 'Wild at Heart' clip, when he picks the guy up and flings him at the wall, when it's quite clear he's already dead. Made me think of that bit in The Simpsons when Homer is Krusty, and beats up the Hamburgler. The kid goes "Stop, stop, he's already dead..."

And I love the way you finish with:

"Bangkok Dangerous is released this Friday."

A personal favourite Cage moment, is in The Rock, when he's like "Glass or plastic, glass or plastic!" I couldn't find a clip to share though.

Yep. Would be magic watching the man in action, sans CGI.

I'd love to see the film of that Ghost Rider clip before they added all the special effects to it. I can only imagine the crew standing around watching open-mouthed.

Hmm, putting your own articles in the news section eh? Cunning.

That Bangkok Dangerous poster is fucking brilliant. It's literally the worst poster I've ever seen. It looks like he's scratching his armpit with one hand and holding a non-existent gun with the other. I'\d pay to see that - Cage with herpes shooting bad guys with an invisible firearm. While dressed as a bear.

I need never watch the whole of Bearman Hates Women thanks to that clip. A bloke at work stumbled across it for £3 and brought it in outraged demanding I watch it, "Not a chance mate, I've seen the youtube bestof" "..it's...shit...just shit..." he sputtered.

I wonder what goes through Cage's head when he reads a script and says "Yeah!". Wild at Heart, Leaving Las Vegas...er...Vampires Kiss and that one where he thinks he's a werewolf. The rest suck.
An insane misogynist poo-bear - possibly the greatest onscreen insanity ever.

Where I come from, past-it actors embarrassing themselves in shit action films and bear punchathons are cinematic gold. I mean, they're turds, but WHAT turds...

Yep, seeing Cage dressed in a bear costume punching out another woman and saying "Don't be afraid" is still baffling.
Neil La Bute's mum must have done some extremely, wickedly dark things to him as a toddler. His next film is called "Show the court on the dolly where mummy burned you"

I still sit jaw-agape at that Wicker Man stuff. How can you go from Raising Arizona to scissor-kicking women into walls?
And whilst I'm not bothered, a "NSFW" warning or something might be appropriate for the Wild At Heart clip - numerous "fucks", one "cunt" and intense, gloopy headtraumage might not be the ideal thing for yung'uns or those unaware of Lynch's style?

Cage is on a different planet. A planet of pretend hair and reverse-trajectory career. He used to matter, bit of a shame really.
