The film unites a star-studded cast of Coen veterans George Clooney and Frances McDormand with Coen ...

Obviously Miller's Crossing is their best work. (In the interest of full disclosure, I've only seen about five movies made by them)

Another vote for Norville Barnes... "Fight on dear old Munice!"
I just love The Hudsucker Proxy, haven't seen Burn After Reading yet so can't say if any of them should be on the list! :)

I loved The Big Lebowski the first time I saw it

What was the John Goodman one about? I've never heard of it

Big Lebowski is genuinely one of my favourite films. I know I say that about a lot films, but I mean it with this. I have to say, I didn't warm to it the first time I saw it, took another viewing to really appreciate it. Great soundtrack too, and the quotability is off the chart.

"Shut the fuck up, Donny"
"This is what happens when you fuck a stranger in the ass!"
"This isn't Vietnam, dude. This is bowling, there are rules."

And so on.

I would go and watch Burn After Reading purely because of the clip of Brad Pitt taking a punch to the face. The look of shock just creases me up.

Been a bit cold from Burn After Reading. It's got all the right people in it though, so who knows.

I never got The Big Lebowski - didn't find it particularly funny, or the characters that great. Except for Jesus.

But I do love me some The Hudsucker Proxy.

But...but...what about Norville in The Hudsucker Proxy? "Y'know, for kids!". Or Nathan Arizona? "Unpainted Huffhines? c'mon kid". Or Johnny Casper in Millers Crossing? "I'm sick a' da hi-hat".
And from Big Lebowski, I'd choose Jesus Quintana.
*shrugs*
Each to their own. And "Burn After Reading" is on me list

It's a strange one. I think I watched it before I really knew who the Coens were. But even from that clip you can see how amazing the lighting was, it's stunning.

For my money, Nic Cage's character from Raising Arizona should be on this list.
"Son, you got a panty on your head."

I have to see The Man Who Wasn't There again, it was years ago now, and I barely remember it at all.
