John McClane will Die Hard 5: Die Even More Ridiculously Hard
Yippee-ki-yay, funky mother! John McClane's plans are about to get ruined for a fifth time - this is why no one invites him round for dinner. Unreliable.

It's weird how there are all these "Die Hard on a boat" "Die Hard on a train" "Die Hard in a hockey stadium" films, but only the first Die Hard is actually a "Die Hard in a..." film.

Maybe Die Hard 2, but the fact that he had help, had time to sit around doing nothing and even left the airport a couple of times means it wasn't truly "Die Hard in an aiport".

Go back to basics, pretend Speed never happened (as we all do with Speed 2) and do "Die Hard on a bus" as an actual Die Hard film.

All franchises, given a long enough run, will end up in space. It's usually a horror movie phenomenon (see friday the 13th, Hellraiser, Critters Leprechaun) but only because other genres don't normally get that far... Police Academy 8 was suposed to be set in space, but they couldn't find a way to work in the Blue Oyster Bar, so they scrapped it...

Someone somewhere else made a very good point, that the reason the first Die Hard worked so well was a compacted situation - in a building. The reason the other Die Hards have felt less and less like proper Die Hards is because they keep expanding the area of play Building < Airport < City < Country.

No one wants to see Die Hard In Space.

Scale it down. John McClane is supposed to be a regular guy, not a plane-fighting terminator. Make it about him trying to reclaim his pension in a post office or something.
