Rhys Ifans cast as Spider-Man villain

Well the cast are all pretty young things. Spider-man can be set in a school. High School Musical is very popular. They wouldn't, would they?

Dancing Spider-man could easily defeat Green Ifans in a fight.

I was wrong, he has been confirmed as The Lizard. I don't see this at all - nothing about this hairy hippie manchild reminds me of Curt Connors and I'm guessing the Lizard will be completely CGI anyway?

Mind you, this reboot has a comparatively low budget, doesn't it? So maybe they'll just paint him green, give him a Gene Simmons-like tongue prosthetic and make him eccssssentuate hissss esssssess.
