Following the shelving of Bourne 4 for the immediate future, Philip Noyce's feature has been earmarked as its temporary replacement; however, for better or worse, it is not at all. Entering the film sceptical about Jolie as the main action lead and the plot itself, my spider-sense seemed to tingle 'average film syndrome'. I was right. However, upon my exit from the cinema, a strange sense of bewilderment and disappointment filled me.

Totally agree with the review - shruggish fun, but ultimately disappointing. In an era of smart and sophisticated thrillers and actioners, Salt just feels like it was written in the 90s - cliched, predictable and just generally old hat.

Also, if you have to film a serious scene in which a woman is made up to look like a man, you have to make sure the prosthetics and make up are absolutely flawless, otherwise it's just laughable. At best, she looked like an extremely effeminate mincer. At worst, she looked like a butch transexual. Ridiculous.

I can't even bring myself to watch a pirate version for free.
The effort to click and download is just not worth it to watch Easter Island jump over things on a motorcycle.

She should stick to adopting black kids and having rubbish tattoos

Am I the only person who thinks Jolie looks weird no matter what role she's cast in? Getting on a bit to do action stuff, and she's too skeletal and serious to do rom-coms, yet when she does serious stuff she's always much more stonelike than everyone else, it's a bit jarring.
