Review: Spider-Man 3

Spider-Man 3 is long. It's very long. In fact, before going to see it, you might want to check what time it finishes, because if you're anything like me (i.e. a dunce) and don't check the train times, you might end up stranded outside your local Odeon at 1am with no buses in sight and a minicab that's destined to eternally be ...

Overall a pretty rubbish film.
However i enjoyed the emo-morphing/disco dancing scenes.

Thank you. It is so true. If they'd had just made two movies instead of one it would have been sooo much better. Venom IS one of the best storylines, but they completely massacred it! If Goblin and Doc Ock can get their own movie Venom most definitely deserves one to himself. Arrghh. But yeah everything else was great. (although for the seriousness of the moment, Parker's dance was way out of place...)

Compared to what this film could have been, this was a major disappointment. Way too much going on and not enough time dedicated to any of it.
If Venom doesnt come back in the next film, i'm going to kick Sam Raimi in the nuts!

It's all played for laughs, the dancing bit. Quite funny, as it goes. I think a lot of people were pissed off because it was being talked up as the 'dark' movie of the trilogy, but it basically amounted to Peter Parker becoming an emo dick.
*SPOILER*
The Sandman ending pissed me off, actually. He spends the best part of half an hour punching Spidey with a giant sand fist, then says "Oh yeah, I've got kids. Sorry." And Spidey's all, like, "I forgive you." But what about all the crime he did, Spidey? WHAT ABOUT ALL THE CRIME?
Seriously though. Bad ending.

I haven\'t seen this, it\'ll be a DVD release for me. Apparently Parker does evil disco-dancing, which immediately sets my gaydar off and a forcefield is erected around the cinema preventing me from affecting entry.
I *am* going to see Pirates 3 though, that\'ll be the tits.

\"Everything is hanging together by the flimsiest of webs, meaning more than a few plot liabilities have been taken. The alien symbiote lands right next to Peter Parker? Harry gets amnesia? The butler knew all along?\"
It\'s a adaptation of a comic. You don\'t need a plot in a comic. Just some wicked effects.POW! CRUNCH! ZORK!
Personally, I knew this film was going to have problems with Raimi trying to squeeze 3 villians into one film. Not enough screen time for the superb Venom backstory. Brock reeealy hates Parker.
The film\'ll do - I liked it, but as the kid in front of me said, halfway through, \"Is Spiderman becoming bad?\"
