Review: The Brothers Grimm

The Brothers Grimm
This is a very difficult review for me to write. The reason why has to do with the fact that I am a Terry Gilliam fanatic. I've seen every movie the guy has ever made, and I've managed to find something to love about each and every one of them (and yeah, that even includes The Adventures of Baron Münchausen). The guy is a tru...

I remember it looking much better in the trailer. Think the Weinsteins took to it with the scissors quite harshly to be honest. I could have done without Heath Ledger\'s Tommy Cooper accent, too.

When I go see a film with Monica Bellucci, I expect to see Monica Bellucci a lot more than she appears in Grimm. Her boobs look rather lovely, as always, but they don\'t appear nearly enough. The plot didn\'t really work for me either: twelve irritating girls must die so that Monica can recover her good looks? Sounds worth it to me - back off Grimms, you do-gooding donuts.

Seeing Monica\'s Snoochie Belluccis may be the only reason I go to see this. Not really a big fan of fairytale malarkey and haven\'t seen much of Gilliam\'s best work, although I did just finish reading Fear & Loathing, so might check that out.

I love that film. I remember the 1st time I watched it, was \"Eh? Slow-motion asskicking with staves? Werewolf attack in Jaws homage?\" and was sold. Fantastic film. And not just because Ms Bellucci bares herself.

Unfortunately, the delectable Ms. Bellucci (Vincent Cassell is a lucky, lucky man) is covered under a ton of old age make up in this one. Yet another strike against the film.

And oddly enough, Goatboy, as soon as I got home from seeing Brothers Grimm at the cinema, I immediately popped Brotherhood of the Wolf in the DVD player. It\'s got a similar feel to Grimm, but is superior in many ways.

It\'s Gilliam, so it\'ll be a DVD rental at least. But then I\'ll watch anything with Monica Bellucci in, so I\'m confused now as I\'d like to see a 20ft high picture of her so the cinema calls.
I\'m going to watch Brotherhood of The Wolf now, her fantastic baps turn into mountains in that
