The Land Before Time: where careers go extinct

The Land Before Time: where careers go extinct
You all remember The Land Before Time, right? The 1988 Stephen Spielberg/George Lucas-produced, Don Bluth-directed cartoon about talking dinosaurs learning important life lessons, that incited millions of kids to nag their parents into a weekly Pizza Hut pilgrimage just so they could ram their tiny hands inside the ill-fitting plastic puppets... right?

Nope, only a minor redemption and reward for sitting through the previous 115 minutes of bleh.

What happens in the last 5 minutes? Some sexual interactive orgy explaining the whole pile of shit a viewer had to suffer through first 100 minutes?

So you watched the entire thing apart from the ending? The last 5 minutes were the only part worth watching.

Then I opened Ali's review of SM and saw the verdict: 5 stars...

Amazing how former first league actors get extinct.

Anyways, yesterday I had opportunity, finally, to watch Slumdog Millionaire. And ZOMG, LOL, WTF, what a shit it was! I kept thinking to myself: 'Wait a bit more, there must be something more than small poor kids and great Indian accent and BIG EARS of the main character'. But only thing I got was some poor acting, lame story, shallow dialogues, stupid characters, no boobs... A short moment before the end I stopped watching it, seriously, and I hardly ever stop watching a movie. So I don't know how it ended (although I am pretty sure he won) and I am happy with it. But, my rambling is not here for sake of itself only. I have an idea for an article, possibly not used by you, yet:
"Oscar shit movies". I bet there are more of them.

Gotta say, whilst "researching" this I discovered a whole seedy underworld of tLBT obsessives - including fanfiction. You know the sort. People are weird.

Oh, and those fucking toys - I still remember to this day how much it hurt just to get your fingers in the holes. And then you couldn't move the front legs because they were almost solid plastic.

Sutherland was also in the TV series version of Watership Down... Don't ask how or why I know that.

I own The Land Before Time: Sing-Along Songs on VHS. The songs from it pop into my head from time to time.

Wow flashback. Loved that film when it came out, though my primary school insisting on calling everyone into assembly to watch it seems a bit excessive.
