Review: The Soloist

Kind of ironic that it's desperation to get one of those little gold statues is it's main criticism and what will likely have played a part in it not getting a chance, even though it might actually be worthy of a look. I've not forgiven Jamie Foxx for Stealth yet but he looks pretty good in this and RDJ is always solid.

Best break out the cliche bingo cards for this one I think.

Yep, seems pretty on the nose. This movie screams 'Nominate me, nominate me!'

Love Downey, have a lot of time for Jamie Foxx (after this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_L-gbpKZpo) but this stinks of Oscar desperation.
