Top 20 Manliest Movies
Being a man is brilliant. You get to fight, drive cars through explosions, shag birds, drink beer, and be an asshole. But what really make a man a man? Muscles? Sure. Blood, guts, and fisticuffs? It helps. A bit of nationalism? Of course. Wildly improbable baddies, snakes, the Mafia, guns, lots of guns, boxing, and rude w...

Are you stupid? You put Jaws over the Godfather? and 300 is not even on the list! but yet you have some closet homo's movie at #1?!?! Ya you need to go back and reevaluate your manhood. you earn -50 man points for rating Jaws 3 and Godfather 6, -50 man points for not even placing 300, and -150 manpoints for sucking up to Bradjolie. for a total of -250 manpoints. Please turn in your man card on the way out. Thank you.

I love Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. The scene where they're all fucking around the the video camera, and Henry flips and, and just goes "No more, Otis - no more" mental. I think they made a sequel, which I never saw.

Oh, and as for Palahniuk, I like him. Choke movie out next year, Sam Rockwell as the lead. Haven't read that one yet, but will before they release an edition with the bloody actors in the movie on the cover of the book. I hate that.

Didn't realise Chuck was gay. Better stop reading his books then. Just kidding. Awesome author, check out Survivor, Lullaby and Choke (not read Haunted or Diary yet). Writes like a motherfucker.

And this is my Boomstick! Army Of Darkness is very good, but there\'s always going to be something missing.

Missing two key movies in mandom, Faust and Army of Darkness, but otherwise pretty complete

How about The Dirty Dozen? Just check the cast at IMDB. And what about Charles Bronson in the Death Wish movies? Lastly, 300 will blow all these movies away.

Inconceivable!

Great film. Pretty manly, in that \"Clark Gable\" kinda way.

My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

Re. #16 The Thing. You make a common mistake. \"Decimated\" means killing every tenth man. \"Eight males slowly decimated\" would mean that one of them loses a leg or something.

Was going to say \"I do not think it means what you think it means,\" but this isn\'t the place to be quoting The Princess Bride.

You\'re... you\'re kidding, right? Top Gun is by far one of the gayest films ever made. \"You can ride my tail any time!\" Swordfight! Swordfight! Fuckin\' A!

oh ffs WHERE\'S TOP GUN?!!

That film is so manly it makes me hard. It\'s full of men.

Whether films are any good or not has no affect on their manliness. Hence the appearance of half the films on the list. I\'d like to think that most of you know it\'s all very tongue-in-cheek.

I\'m hearing that 300 is extraordinarily manly, so can\'t wait to see what that\'s like.

Homoeroticism is a red herring...oiled up and or half naked men in films are there to get the chicks in the seats

it\'s very hard to get a list of the 20 manliest movies that everyone is going to agree on. Yes, \"Dirty Harry\" could\'ve been on there, \"Bullitt\" could\'ve, \"Goodfellas\" could\'ve, \"Lethal Weapon\" could\'ve, there\'s too much choice.
The Internets

Hard Target and Miami Vice are trash.
\"The Good, The Bad and The Ugly\" and \"Bullitt\" need to be on this list.

Maximus goes out like a bitch? he was mortally wounded by that pussy, yet still managed to exact his sweet revenge. Completely ridiculous! Way out of line, way out of line. Can you believe these characters? You know what hurts the most is the...the lack of respect, you know? That\'s what hurts the most.

I think maybe Bad Boys II is hovering around the top 20. Driving a truck through a village of gypsies is definitely manly. I did consider The Fast and The Furious until I realised that it\'s fucking gay.

No 13th Warrior... should be #1

You should replace Wall Street and Miami Vice with the Outlaw Josie Wales and Lone Wolf McQuaid. You overlooked Clint Eastwood and Chuck Norris for Michael Douglas, Collin Farrel and Jamie Fox? Are you drunk?

I\'m not sure, but I\'m pretty sure James Bond was in Goldfinger? Or was it Joan Rivers? No, I\'m pretty sure it was James Bond.

Miami Vice is awful, not manly at all, one gun battle in the entire flick. Usual Suspects, male masterminding, Boondock Saints, No Bond, No John Wayne

you can\'t get any more gay than being a man after all, therefore, homoeroticism is manly..

I think.

Die Hard 3 has Bruce with a hangover, shooting a helicopter, beating up a henchman witha big chain and surfing a giant underground wave. And it has Sam Jackson shouting \"Chester A. Arthur elementary school!\" loads.
The Internets

fight club is manly...but at the same time pretty homoerotic.

Denise Richards is not in Hard Target, it\'s Yancy Butler with the eyebrows.

Fight Club? Brad Pitt is a bitch. He was born that way he\'s gonna die that way. Explain to me how he\'s different from Rock Hudson. Pulp Fiction should replace Die Hard III if you want Sam Jackson on the list. And even though it was all women Kill Bill should be on the list: torture, eye gouging, scalping, and the 5 point palm exploding heart technique. Beatrix Kiddo vs. Tyler Durden who ya got?

You confused Rambo First Blood with Rambo: First Blood II. FBII is the one where he goes back to Vietnam and kicks some Commie ass. The manliest moment is by far when he steps out of the mud wall to kill a Russian.

...Die Hard III... because he has a hangover, and hangovers are manly, and it has Samuel L Jackson.

Goodfellas? Number 21.
The Internets

Er..Die Hard 3? Why not the 1st, he does it alone barefoot smoking cigarettes stolen from a dead German. Miami Vice? Crockett going gooey over his woman? A woman taking down the trailer-trash in an eye-shoot?
Goodfellas? Das Boot? In The Company of Men?
A nice list, but there is a waft of estrogen
