Oh, man, the incompetent hitman in Mullholand Drive - that was so funny - and so out of place in that movie. Fantastic.

That list (unlike our list) is lame. Steve Buscemi has died at least twenty times, I can think of about ten off the top of my head.

Although not strictly a "hitman", I'd nominate Tommy from Goodfellas. Ok, he's more of a henchman but he does hits. And possibly the only person to kill Samuel L Jackson (apart from the Mensa Shark in Deep Blue) on film.

No 1 is the right choice. I'd find a place for Havey Keitel's cleaner in The Assasin, pouring acid down someones throat is nastier than anything on this list.
