Will Smith goes full retard

I haven't read the book. I'll wait for the feature film starring Will Smith. (This phrase applies to any book, not just Flowers For Algernon)

I find it strange that all people here read the book... Anyways, I feel the bond, cause I read it, too...

Good stuff, indeed. At least, it seemed a few years ago. Its composition was extremely good, diary-like narration, in book it all relied on words, here they will use words + Will's face, and face will be primary way of expressing the whole stuff (I guess).

I'm a little afraid of that...

Well I liked I Am Legend, right up until the woman & kid turned up and it became standard Will Smith action noise.

Excellent book and has the potential to be a good film but yeah, has Oscar written all over it.

Oh, I bet he WILL be playing Algernon. I agree it's a great book but I doubt there'll little left of it but the main concept once it's turned into an Oscar vehicle for the Fresh Prince.

I'm undecided on this - loved the book and it could potentially be great film, but in the hands of Smith and Gabriele Muccino, it could turn out to be another sappy and maudlin affair.

It's a great book, and there's tonnes of potential for it to be one of Smith's great movies.

Just want to point out it's unlikely he'll be playing Algernon...

Wonder if he'll say anything more retarded that that line in this movie?
