Before he was Professor X... he was Charles. Before he was Magneto... he was Erik. Before they release the proper X-Men: First Class poster... we get this bunch of arse instead.
Love Goaty comments, usually, but that Holocaust part was WTF-like. Dude, next time provide us a list of all genocides to which there should not refer any "light" superhero film.
I don't know if that's genuinely part of their origin story in the comic books, but I agree that it is lazy to use this as part of the it. It should have been something fictional - I tend to find using genuine horrific events to build the story on to be a touch classless.
Plus puddles just aren't impressive. Should have used glass instead.
"The Holocaust was not, is not, nor should be used in light entertainment."
Matt Stone, and Trey Parker disagree.

We'll agree to disagree on this one.
Loathed the part in the 1st movie with Magneto for that reason.
The Holocaust was not, is not, nor should be used in light entertainment.
It negates.
Certainly not in some bullshit superhero movie and certainly not used as a backdrop to denote a "darkside" or something similar. Cheap, lazy association.
I'll say no more about this, not worth arguing or getting into it over a fucking Xmen movie.
It's a personal thing, I don't agree.
Come on, it's not like that they put him in front of a gas chamber or even the "Arbeit macht frei" sign, or on the rails in front of the entrance. It's generic enough to have fooled Ari and to not be offensive, just a really ugly poster.
Wait for the actual movie and Erik's flashbacks or anger at the world because he's been in a camp to throw "cunts" around, man.
The factory is Auschwitz.
They can go fuck themselves for using that imagery in a brainless summer blockbuster.
Leaves a very bad taste in my mouth and will not watch this stupid film purely for that.
Shame on their publicity people.
Fucking email them that response, instead of sending crappy "warnings", give me their email and I'll indicate the sheer offensiveness in using holocaust imagery to promote a shitty superhero film.
