THESHIZNIT.co.uk FAQs WHAT IS THESHIZNIT.co.uk? Well, if you mean what does the name mean, then I have absolutely no idea, sorry. If you mean what is the site about, then that one I can field. Um, it's just a site I started because I wanted an outlet to do some writing, and because I love films and have done for a while now. Also, there's a large community of which I'm part of that all have very good writing skills with nothing much to use them for, so it seemed natural to create a site for just that. Oh, and I'm hoping it'll make me super-rich, and make Harry Knowles kill himself. BOY, NEW FILMS SURE DO SUCK, DON'T THEY? Some do, yeah. But then most people who write for this site have quite an open mind on that sort of thing. I'll be first in the queue to put my fist through the back of Paul W. Anderson's throat, but should the day come where he makes a decent movie, I'll give credit where credit's due. I also have a penchant for big dumb action movies, starring people like Steven Seagal and Jean Claude Van Damme. Sue me, you don't like it, go watch The Man Who Went Up A Hill And Came Down A Mountain. YOUR WRITING IS TOTALLY LAME! YOU GUYS SUCK! Well thanks, we do our best. No one who writes for this site is a professional, in fact, most of us are just flat out retarded. But we all love movies, and in that respect, we're just the same as you. In fact, if I put on a baseball cap and sunglasses, sometimes I can wander carefree around city centres without getting bothered, I'm that normal. And if you think you can do better, then by all means get in touch and submit some work to the site, smart guy. HOW COME YOU HAVEN'T REVIEWED GENERIC ACTION FILM #34? Due to the fact that none of us are getting paid to do this, we don't get the chance to see every flick out at the cinema. However, we'll do our best to cover as wide a spectrum of movies as possible, and will even review DVDs from time to time. When the cinema seems that little bit too far away, we'll amuse ourselves by tearing some second-rate actor/director a new asshole in one of our features. HEY, I THOUGHT RING WAS REALLY SCARY! Firstly, you're wrong, and you're a pussy. Secondly, if our opinions bother you that much, then feel welcome to use the power of the intranet to post your feelings in the comments section on each article. Try and keep them related, any 'stfu this movie rulez' type posts will be laughed at and eventually deleted from the internet. HMM, THIS SITE LOOKS LIKE A VIABLE BUSINESS PROSPECT... That's not a question, but you'd be right. We've only been fully operational for a few months at the time of writing, but we're steadily gaining in popularity, mostly down to me being a shameless self-promoter. If you're half-interested in advertising on the site, or would like to advertise my site for me (free of charge, of course) then don't hesitate to contact me. HOW DID YOU MAKE THIS SITE? I'm lucky in that I'm extremely talented. Well, almost. I've had a little bit of experience with graphic design software and was sick of looking at websites that look like they were made by bashing a keyboard with a toilet brush. It helped I had a usable knowledge of HTML to lay the page out, and a few friends of mine with immense Tron-esque programming knowledge knocked up some back end functions for me. All in all, it wasn't too difficult to set up, but it took a while. |
