In case you somehow missed the news or mistook it for one of the hundreds of similar rumours that get published as 'news' every single day, Disney have announced a new Star Wars spin-off origin movie – Han Solo: Kessel-mania (title unconfirmed).
But who will play the younger Han Solo? Let the speculation beg… no wait. We can spend the next weeks and months talking about your Channing Tatums and your Taron Egertons and your too-obvious Chris Pratts and any number of other actors who will please and annoy everyone in equal measure.
So let’s approach this from a different angle. Who do we know for sure who really shouldn’t play a young Han Solo? Maybe we can narrow it down better this way? At least we’ll know for sure that it definitely has to be one of the actors left over. This already feels more productive.
He may be franchise Viagra, but the new Star Wars universe doesn't feel like it needs to sustain a bigger, harder erection during sex just yet, does it? Besides, The Rock already has his giant meat fingers in quite a few movie pies so it would be difficult to negotiate availability over the next few years.
The Fresh Prince would have once surely been in the running to play a young, cocksure Harrison Ford, but if Disney want several sequels about the adventures of Han Solo, Smith's age suddenly becomes a huge obstacle.
An already familiar name to Star Wars fans, but his recent trouble with law means that he could be a live wire on set and Disney will want stay well clear of any controversy.
An Internet favourite and an Oscar-winning actress who has proven that she is more than capable of portraying smuggling scoundrel Han Solo. But with Lawrence confirming that she is hanging up the blue body paint from the X-Men films, it seems that she isn't interested in being a part of major effects-laden blockbusters right now.
He could have given Han a harder, grittier edge, which would have no doubt pleased fans looking for a more mature Star Wars instalment, but Clint has all but retired from acting to concentrate on filmmaking instead. It seems unlikely that this is the role to make him return to being in front of the cameras.
It's possible if Disney want to crossover their franchises - and that's certainly all the rage these days - but Marvel bosses have long talked about the difficulties of having a standalone Hulk movie and it would technically be no different here. A very risky venture for sure.
Actor Richard Karn would bring strong nostalgic value to a franchise that normally thrives on such a thing but, looking at his IMDB profile, it seems that he is due to film A Dog For Christmas alongside Dean Cain and Dustin Diamond. With the latter's recent arrest no doubt stalling production, it will be difficult for Richard to commit to any new filming schedule right now.
Currently ruling the box office, it's only a matter of time before one of these little fellas breaks out on their own like the Zayn Malik of animated clownhats. But it does rely on Disney brokering a deal with Universal to make it happen, and that kind of thing will take several months of legal wrangling.
The hot new star from the recent box office smash hit is certainly on our one-to-watch list. But his being confined to water will make it difficult for directors Christopher Miller and Phil Lord to shoot scenes that appear as though they convincingly take place in the far reaches of the galaxy. And we can't see the mosasaurus surviving for long on Tattooine.
The groundbreaking German composer has long been regarded as one of the pillars of all modern musicality as we know it, and that normally means that a move into movies isn't too far away. Sadly, he's been dead since 1750.
