Jurassic Park Week: The many faces of Dr Ellie Sattler

Laura Dern's exotic paleobotanist has a face for every occasion, but only if every occasion is extremely distressing for her.

One of my favourite characters in Jurassic Park is Dr Ellie Sattler, played by Laura Dern, not because she's a particularly strong female character or Dern is especially brilliant, but because she pulls the most haggard faces. I notice new ones every time I watch it, and she seems to gurn harder with every new format the movie is released on.

Naturally, I put an animated gif together to celebrate.


RAWR! This week on TheShiznit.co.uk is Jurassic Park Week, because it's my favourite film ever and it's getting a limited theatrical re-release on the 23rd September. Be sure to pre-order the Blu-ray boxset, which is released on 24th October.
