Official: all the good titles for horror movies have been taken

So I was browsing new movie posters on the internet as usual, looking for something to belittle to make myself feel better, when I found a poster for a horror film called 'The Appearing'. As in a noun. Um... I think the word they were looking for was 'Apparition'. Except a film called The Apparition came out last year. It's official: there are no more cool-sounding words left to use in horror movie titles.

Here's the poster for The Appearing, a word which no one has ever used to describe something which has appeared (just like no one has ever called an event a 'happening' in real life, not even M Night Shyamalan).

I know what you're thinking, and you're right: I bet you (meaning me) couldn't come up with anything better. To be honest, after The Thing, Paranormal Activity and Scary Movie, the old Ronseal approach to titling a horror has lost its lustre somewhat. But, being the trooper that I am, I put the Shiznit braintrust into action to come up with 10 titles that are better than 'The Appearing', using only words that haven't been used before. (Granted, we had to make some of them up).

Wait! What about 'The Entity'? (*checks IMDB*) FUCK.
