Sorry, but I'm about to ruin the Cape Fear poster for you

The stupid pop culture sponge I call a brain has ruined the poster for Martin Scorsese's Cape Fear. Now I pass it on to you, like the videotape from The Ring. Once you see it, you can't unsee it.

I love film posters. You may have realised this due to the eleventy billion features I've written in the past year, pointing out their various flaws while pretending I could have done better. Sometimes, however, a movie poster is ruined through no fault of its own: it'll invite a pop culture comparison that you can't shake, no matter how hard you try.

With that in mind, I give you the poster for Martin Scorsese's remake of Cape Fear, featuring Robert De Niro. At least, I thought it was De Niro.

Bollocks. All this time, I was staring into the crazed eyes of 'Wolf' from Gladiators. This is almost as bad as that time when they released The Wolfman and I couldn't stop saying it like John Fashanu.

Ruined.
