Get your Jennifer Aniston out of our Arrested Development movie
News reaches us that Jason Bateman is actively pitching a role in the Arrested Development movie for Jennifer Aniston. Clearly the man has gone rogue and must be stopped at any cost. Someone call Ice.

Good news: the long-gestating oversized mutant baby that is the Arrested Development movie is actually, honest-to-Job, in production as we speak. Bad news: Jason Bateman has lost his goddamn mind.

Speaking to MTV while promoting his new movie, The Switch (formerly The Baster), Bateman suggested he'd be lobbying series creator Mitch Hurwitz to land a role for his co-star, Jennifer Aniston. Frankly I don't know how she'd manage it to fit it into her schedule, what with all the time she spends with her husband and kids OHHH SICK BURN!

"There's a real good part for her in the 'Arrested Development movie... I don't know, we'll see if she's available. She's busy. She's pretty famous; I don't know if you've heard of her. She's pretty backed up. Hopefully the guy who's in charge will like her for that part because I'm going to suggest her."
I am not as anti-Friends as some - in fact, I have rather fond memories of it, and Aniston too. However, like most jobs acting opposite Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer, occasional gurning and pouting was all that was required to get a laugh. From a canned audience. This is the big leagues, toots; there's no Joey Bluth around to make you look better.

Still, maybe it'd be a blessing in disguise, and Jen would find love on the set of her new movie, because it worked like a charm with Vince Vaughn on The Break-Up OOOOHHH SNAP!

Why do reporters reach so hard for a headline? I was merely thinking out loud during an interview about Aniston being in the AD movie. (Bateman's twitter)
