Heavy metal: new Avatar featurette

A brand new Avatar featurette shows off three minutes of new footage and focuses on the big ugly machines that James Cameron will use to rip Pandora a new butthole. "Bring the pain" indeed, anonymous soldier.

Damn. Every time I try and temper my fevered enthusiasm for Avatar, a video like this comes along and gets me all excited and worked up. That, and I just ate a Wispa Gold. What a rush!

Incidentally, if you're as jazzed about Avatar as me, there's a damn fine James Cameron supplement in this month's issue of Total Film, with a decent interview throw in too. I swear, he basically takes exactly what I think is wrong with modern movies - no investment, no story, too much editing - and tells it like it is. My man-crush is nearing 'instant boner' level. And that's only level 1.

Avatar will be released in the UK on December 17th 2009.
