List of things Tom Hanks can't do narrows further

Tom Hanks's production company is putting together American Gods, which HBO has snapped up for SIX seasons from 2013. Tom Hanks is better than you.
As we all know, TV is much better than books. But every now and then, one of them gets turned into something on TV, so I guess they have their uses.
One of these so-called 'books' is bestselling novel American Gods by Neil Gaiman. (*stifles laughter*) It follows an ex-con called Shadow who gets a job working for a guy who turns out to be Odin. That's right, Odin. He's an actual god. And he wants to wage war against the 'American gods', who are modern technology, the internet, and credit cards and stuff. I'm not making this up.
Now obviously I haven't read it (see above), but the whole thing's going to cost $30–40 million a season and, according to Gary Goetzman, part of Hanks's Playtone Productions:
