Sherlock series 2 update update...UPDATE
TV News

4th August 2011
Some news has been flying around recently about the second series of Sherlock and, seeing as I haven't been bothered to report any of it, I thought I'd collate it all into one big infogasm. THIS IS THE NEWS.
Anyway, reports have come in that, unsurprisingly, the footage is "aces" and, perhaps only slightly more suprisingly, the Moffatt-written episode features the introduction of Irene Adler, the pseudo love interest for Sherlock (though presumably not really - he's kinda celibate in the books).
Irene Adler, the role played by Rachel McAdams in the fun but vastly inferior Downey Jr film, is being played by Laura Pulver in the BBC series. Her recent credits apparently include True Blood and Robin Hood, and is set to feature in the 10th series of Spooks, but I can't place her at all. Anyone recognise this lady?
The next piece of news is possibly the most frustrating thing that's happened to me since I spent six fruitless hours trying to kill the end boss of Mortal Kombat last weekend. Y'ready?

Series two of Sherlock will premiere in 2012Still, I think it's safe to say that this may not have happened if it wasn't for Martin Freeman's commitments to filming The Hobbit. Which, I know everyone is looking forward to and all, but frankly I'd rather have the World's Greatest Detective over Middle Earth's Littlest Ring Thief.
