So it's come to this: two low-res stills from 'Paul'

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost get serious in these new stills from intergalactic buddy comedy Paul, may also "rent downstairs".
Buddy comedies are a tricky thing to pull off. Pair up the wrong actors and they can be about as much fun as being up to your neck in quicksand. In Slough. Fortunately Pegg & Frost are dab hands at the genre, bringing us such delights as action homage Hot Fuzz, and zom-rom-com Shaun of the Dead. But what about introducing a CG character - that's got to be a challenge, right? According to Frost via Empire:
"
"
"If people don't forget that Paul is a CG character within ten minutes of meeting him, we've done something wrong. He should not be anything special. He should be one of the gang."Anyway, pics:
Could go either way at this point tbh. Lost traveller movies belong in the 80's. 'E.T.', 'The Flight of the Navigator', 'D.A.R.Y.L.', 'Mac and Me' - all remembered fondly in their own little ways, but also extremely shit in a lot of other ways. Guess we'll find out when 'Paul' hits screens next February.
