Time to raid the LOLpic cupboard: more Star Trek on the way?

It's almost as if a hugely successful TV show that spawned a cult franchise, an almost religious following of geeks and nerds, several box-office-busting films and a recently lauded reboot is worth another revisit just in case people will watch it.
It seems that David Foster from 1947 Entertainment has announced to something called 'Trek Web' (if you know what that is, keep it to yourself) that he not only has a pilot in line to launch a new Star Trek series, but also an entire 5-7 year plan for the whole show, including extensive character bios, designs, and idea for the finale.
He also has a box full of Enterprise plushies ready to sell, a line of desperate, attractive actresses queuing at his couch and a hollowed-out bronze bust of Geordi La Forge filled to the visor with cocaine.
Says Foster about the show's concept:
So when can we expect to see Star Trek: The New Next Bold Mission? Well it seems that Foster is yet to find an executive producer for his idea, but when he does they can then pitch it to CBS.
Riiiiight. So just when it occurs to me that I don't know who 1947 Entertainment are, so does the idea that David Foster could just be an over-eager Trekkie with enough of a hard-on for Starfleet that he wrote a 18,000-page treatment of where he thinks the franchise can go next.
Thanks for wasting our time, you ass-hat. I'll see you in the network lobby as I wait to pitch MY idea for a new series of Lost in which Smoke Monster moonlights at night as a detective investigating supernatural mysteries.
Still, this article isn't completely pointless if it gives me an opportunity to post the best thing that ever came out of the Star Trek franchise.
