Horrible Bosses
Movie Review | Matt | 25th July 2011
You've all had that one boss, right? The one who convinced all your colleagues that you were an alcoholic, had coke-fuelled orgies in his office or sexually harassed you to the point of borderline rape? Nah, me either. The worst I've ever had to put up with is being made to process the quarterly spend spreadsheets a week early. Not so much 'horrible' as 'insensitive to my existing workload'.

Rio
Movie Review | Rob | 4th April 2011
Those bloody Orange adverts have a knack of putting me right off the films they promote, making me judge them months before they're released. Just read my Gulliver's Travels review for proof (although it didn't help that that actually was complete arse). I was well-prepared to dislike Rio on the basis of that God-awful phone ad. Well, don't I feel like a fool...

Law Abiding Citizen
Movie Review | Phyllis | 25th November 2009
What happens when you throw Gerard Butler, Jamie Foxx, insinuated rape, gruesome revenge killings and over-the-top action sequences together into one over-long courtroom drama? It isn't hilarity that ensues. It's a goddamn depressing mess.

Jamie Foxx plans Tyson biopic
Movie News | Matt | 7th October 2009
Jamie Foxx has been talking up plans to play Mike Tyson in a new biopic about the boxer's life. Seeing as Foxx normally goes pretty 'method' when it comes to acting, his future co-stars will be warned to cover their ears and never leave their drinks unattended.

The Soloist
Movie Review | Matt | 24th September 2009
Mental illness? Homelessness? A man battling all odds to express his extraordinary gift? Based on a true story? Yes, it's 'Oscar Winning by Numbers' and it comes from a bunch of people who are already familiar with the golden baldie, so it's kind of a shoo-in for the Academy Awards.

Miami Vice
Movie Review | Ali | 8th August 2006
With the current climate of repackaging old TV shows for big-screen remakes, who better to helm a Miami Vice movie than one Michael Mann, executive producer of the original television series and a director well-known for shooting locations so lusciously, they're often more interesting than the characters placed within? While pa...

Stealth
Movie Review | Ali | 17th August 2005
"We fly planes!" says Oscar-winner Jamie Foxx, in the trailer for explosion overdose Stealth, like he's explaining the plot to an uninterested four year old. Funnily enough, it might just be the market Stealth is aimed at. Now, don't get me wrong, I like big stupid action lobotomies as much as the next guy, but there's a point...
