    Movie Review | Matt Looker | 24th January 2017

I can't tell you how long I have been waiting to take my two-year-old son on his first trip to the cinema. Well, actually, I suppose I can. It's been two years. Obviously. But that wait finally came to an end with this movie, one which I thought might be an appropriate introduction to the big screen for him because a) it's about singing cartoon characters, and b) it wasn't written by Seth Rogen. Of course, I was still fully prepared for failure. Expecting a toddler to stay still and quiet in a chair surrounded by strangers for nearly two hours? Surely impossible. And yet, that's exactly what he did, while fixated on the movie. So whatever I say in this review from now on, know that my son – easily closer in age to the target demographic than I – rates it 10 out of 10 choo-choo trains or whatever.

  • Ted 2

    Movie Review | Matt Looker | 3rd July 2015

10-20 years from now, future generations will look back on this decade and cringe at how their parents and grandparents belly-laughed at the offensive, nonsense humour of Seth MacFarlane, in much the same way as we do now at old sitcoms from the 70s. Clips of Family Guy's most near-knuckle gags will be shown in TV documentaries that explain how the 2010s were a less civilised era, before society learned to behave like better people. Luckily, we are already on the cusp of more progressive times as the tide has started to turn against the squeaky-faced MacFarlane’s now-familiar string of stoner/racist/pop culture/left field references. 2015 is truly a cornerstone year as MacFarlane Fatigue has firmly set in and, on the basis of Ted 2, it's easy to see why.

  • A Million Ways To Die In The West

    Movie Review | Matt Looker | 29th May 2014

It's a tired opinion, but Seth MacFarlane really does only appeal to fans of Seth MacFarlane… of which, I imagine the number one fan is Seth MacFarlane. Such is the extent of the lazy self-indulgence at work here, resulting in a film that misfires as many times as its title suggests. A Million Ways To Die In The West? I don’t have enough space here to list every single one, but here are the highlights.

  • Gather round folks for a good old-fashioned poster cornholin'

    Movie Feature | Ali Gray | 27th February 2014

How bad is this new poster for Seth MacFarlane's A Million Ways To Die In The West? Let me count the ways.

  • Proof that Seth MacFarlane's sexism is anything but harmless

    Movie Feature | Ali | 27th February 2013

Nobody told me it was National Sexism Week. I would have bought a badge or something. First came Seth MacFarlane's boob-centric stint as Oscars host, then everyone piled in to insult a 21-year-old American actress walking down the street for not being as attractive as a comic-book character. I don't know about the rest of you fellas, but I'm feeling pretty ashamed about my own penis right now. Moreso than usual.

  • Let's all play the Seth MacFarlane Oscars Bingo game!

    Movie Feature | Matt | 21st February 2013

"Wow, Seth MacFarlane is hosting the Oscars! That's exciting - he's so edgy. What a refreshing and original choice". Well, you say that now, but wait until he fights a guy in a chicken suit on stage for 15mins.

  • Josh Duhamel or Seth MacFarlane? There's no need to decide

    Movie News | Ali | 8th February 2013

Did you know Bruce Willis has a new film out next month? It's called Fire With Fire and stars Willis, Rosario Dawson and either Josh Duhamel or Seth MacFarlane, I'm just not sure which.

  • Creator of The Cleveland Show to host the Academy Awards

    Movie News | Ali | 1st October 2012

Seth MacFarlane to host the 85th Academy Awards? I wonder if he'll use the occasion as an excuse to sing showtunes?

  • Seth MacFarlane reboots Family Guy, pretends it's Flintstones

    TV News | Matt Looker | 19th May 2011

The Flintstones are coming back to the small screen under the guidance of Seth McFarlane! Just imagine how much gag mileage he'll get out of the word 'Bedrock'. Giggity.
