  • The Green Hornet

    Movie Review | Ali | 12th January 2011

The Green Hornet is one of those brilliant projects that, when you first heard about it, you made a noise something like, "Whuuuhhh?" Seth Rogen - Tubby Funsterâ„¢ extraordinaire - playing a superhero, directed by Michel Gondry? Now that I gotta see, right?

  • First trailer for Paul, Pegg/Frost's Area 51 road movie

It's like Super 8, but if JJ Abrams got, like, totally blazed.

Worried about how little we've heard about Michel Gondry's superhero action movie, The Green Hornet? Maybe this new poster will reassure you. Maybe not. It's only a poster after all.

  • Funny People

    Movie Review | Ali | 26th August 2009

I'll make no bones about it: I'm a huge Judd Apatow fan. I count The 40 Year-Old Virgin as one of the most underrated comedies of the past decade (there's just something about this scene that slays me every time) and consider Knocked Up to be a near faultless comedy - one that wears its heart on its big dumb soppy sleeve.

  • Observe And Report

    Movie Review | Rob | 3rd May 2009

Another month, another mall cop comedy. Or is it? The trailer does show current King of Comedy Seth Rogen sporting his shortest haircut ever, lusting over Anna Faris and kicking seven shades of shit out of pesky skateboarding yobs in quite the comical fashion. But look a little closer and Observe And Report is a disturbing study...

  • Monsters Vs Aliens

    Movie Review | Kirsty | 21st April 2009

Like so many brides to be, Susan Murphy's wedding day consisted of getting up early to be faffed and fluffed over; sneaking off to see her groom before the ceremony; being squished by a quantonium-laden meteorite and subsequently transformed into a 49-and-a-half-foot government secret codenamed Ginormica. It's a timeless tale. ...

  • Zack And Miri Make A Porno

    Movie Review | Ali | 16th November 2008

With the credit crunch biting hard, there are only a few constants in the current climate. One, that guys will always jerk off to pornography. Two, filmmaker Kevin Smith can always be relied on for a foul-of-mouth, sweet-of-heart comedy with a lion's share of toilet humour and sentiment. Three, Middle-England will always make it...

  • Pineapple Express

    Movie Review | Ali | 14th September 2008

"Dude... we should, like, make a movie about a couple of potheads. They witness a murder and, like, go on the run and are chased by bent cops and shit... then at the end, we give them loads of guns and they blow loads of shit up. It'd fucking rock... Pass the bong, dude." The stoner comedy: a movie usually conceived on drugs, fi...

  • Kung Fu Panda

    Movie Review | Rob | 6th July 2008

Dreamworks have always played second fiddle to the almighty Pixar, churning out mostly second-rate films when compared to the Nemos and Ratatouilles of the world. Kung Fu Panda, though, may just make Andrew Stanton and friends worry that they have some serious competition. It goes without saying that the visuals are astounding -...
