"I can see John's point," observed one Who fan. "As a sentient creature capable of basic deductive reasoning, I am also in favour of things happening to me that are fun and/or in my long-term financial interests. While this microphone's in front of me, does anyone else reckon it would be a great idea if I were given a year's paid leave from work, ate fudge for breakfast every day and had free access to a string of high-class east European call-girls?"
