World exclusive Boardwalk Empire clip: Jimmy Darmody
TV Video | Ed Williamson | 31st August 2012
No seriously, it actually is a world exclusive. Literally no one else in the world has this clip other than us. And anyone in America who's bought the season two box set already. Shut up, still counts. Out on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK on Monday 3rd September. -
You can't be half a gangster (acceptable fraction unspecified)
TV Video | Ed Williamson | 13th August 2012
Well then, what is a permissible fraction of gangsterdom, Boardwalk bloody Empire? Three-quarters of a gangster? Wouldn't I look stupid wearing a fedora with a quarter of it cut out? If I show up at a backroom card game with only three-quarters of the usual stake, what's going to happen? I'll be laughed out of the place, that's what. Think it through.

DVD weekly: bootleggers, Endeavours and superhoodies
TV Feature | Ed Williamson | 9th January 2012
There's only so far you can call something 'DVD weekly' when you haven't actually bothered writing it for about a month. In our defence, the TV DVDs that came out in the weeks we missed were uniformly terrible, and you should be able to think of more imaginative Christmas presents than DVDs by now.

Register of Members' Interests: Boardwalk Empire promo night
TV Feature | Ed Williamson | 7th January 2012
Before Christmas I went to an event to promote the Boardwalk Empire season one DVD and Blu-ray release, where I was given some free food and drink. Then I chose Boardwalk Empire as number one in our Top 20 shows of 2011. Wait, this looks bad, doesn't it?

TV shows dressed up for Halloween
TV Feature | Matt Looker, Ali Gray, Kirsty Harrison, Ed Williamson, Cal King | 31st October 2011
It's not just fat kids and humiliated parents that parade themselves in crappy costumes on Halloween. Thanks to some Photoshop tricks and treats, we have a whole group of TV shows masquerading under spooky aliases ready to shout 'boo' before holding out their hand for some Haribo.

If US TV's 2011/12 season posters told the truth
TV Feature | Matt Looker | 3rd October 2011
And so another all-important Fall season of US TV is upon us, which means it's time to cut through the bullshit and determine what we can really expect from each show, via the medium of Photoshopped posters.

Boardwalk Empire promo vids now legal tender in Greece
TV Video | Ed Williamson | 28th September 2011
In the absence of an economy strong enough to keep it in shoulder-hair trimmers and baklava, the National Bank of Greece has asked HBO to lend it some of its billions of teaser clips, character videos and behind-the-scenes trailers for Boardwalk Empire's second season to use as its currency. "We were happy to help," an HBO executive explained. "It's got to the stage where even hobos won't take them off us anyway."

We risk becoming a Boardwalk Empire fansite with this new trailer
TV Video | Matt Looker | 31st August 2011
I've run out of things to say about Nucky. Nucky. Nucky...nope, doesn't even look like a recognisable word to me anymore.
