Photo breakdown: Dissecting the new Batman v Superman pics
Movie Feature | Matt Looker | 29th July 2015
Yay for still images of characters we have already seen but in a different room and taken from a slightly different angle! [divider] It is a sad fact that we now live in an age where the release of three photos of established characters from a forthcoming blockbuster movie constitutes as Internet-breaking news. Luckily, we...

Momentous photo shoot proves that Ben Affleck is dead inside
Movie Feature | Matt Looker | 15th July 2015
Alternate theory: Ben Affleck didn't want to take part in Hollywood Reporter's stunt photo so they used a crash test dummy wearing a Ben Affleck mask and Jesse Eisenberg's jeans. -
Other things in Broadchurch that people managed to complain about
TV Feature | Ed Williamson | 7th January 2015
Despite Broadchurch being the only good thing on ITV since John Terry fell on his arse taking a penalty in the 2008 Champions League final, some people still had to complain. There was too much mumbling, apparently, and some viewers had to "put the words on". I scoured the internet for more complaints and it turns out this is just the tip of the moanberg.

Good job everyone tweeted #BroadchurchReturns
TV Video | Ed Williamson | 12th December 2014
Just wanted to say a quick thanks to everyone who tweeted with the hashtag #BroadchurchReturns yesterday to unlock this new trailer for season two. If you hadn't, ITV probably wouldn't have bothered releasing it. -
TheShiznit.co.uk's 10th anniversary podcast is online, terrible
Movie Feature | Ali Gray | 6th October 2014
In yet another example of TheShiznit.co.uk being ahead of the curve when it comes to exciting new trends, we've recorded a 'pod-cast' - basically an audio recording of us talking into a microphone, which we have subsequently published on the Internet. Remember where you heard it first!

What If
Movie Review | Becky Suter | 21st August 2014
The world of rom-coms is a fickle one; for every When Harry Met Sally there's The Other Half (starring Danny Dyer, it's on Netflix) or something-or-other starring Isla Fisher tripping over a lot. Whilst it's not going to break new romantic ground, the likeable leads and overwhelming sweetness of What If won me over. God I hate myself sometimes.

Entire Comic-Con convention populated by actors in disguise

Enraged ticket holders in San Diego this weekend were told they were unable to gain access to the 2014 Comic-Con convention because the entire exhibition hall was taken up by famous actors walking around in disguise.

A visual representation of post-Batman superhero movies
Movie Feature | Ali Gray | 29th June 2014
Tim Burton's Batman was released (more or less) 25 years ago this week. You could argue that it's the first modern superhero movie, the one that jumpstarted the whole movement - Superman: The Movie, let's face it, was a beautiful fluke. How has the superhero genre blossomed in the quarter of a century since Michael Keaton got the chafing of a lifetime? Like a wet Gremlin. Here's a handy visual guide as to how the superhero movie became so ubiquitous.

Gracepoint to be loads better than Broadchurch because America
TV Video | Ed Williamson | 13th May 2014
It will too, won't it? Even though this pilot looks to be literally identical to the ITV version save for the fact that Nick Nolte's wearing a hat to play the creepy old guy who runs the newsagent and everyone reckons is a paedo, the plan is apparently to take it in a different direction from here. And inevitably it'll be great and no one will be able to remember why they ever watched ITV in the first place. Could you remake Midsomer Murders next please, guys? -
Fan excited for superhero movie face-off that is 756 days away
Movie Feature | Ali Gray | 11th April 2014
A superhero movie fan has expressed tremendous excitement regarding the simultaneous release of Captain America 3 and Batman Vs Superman on the 6th of May, 2016, claiming he "can't wait to see who wins", blissfully ignoring the fact that the event is still 756 days away and he could feasibly accomplish many life-changing things in that time.
