Project Mad Men: part two
TV Feature | Ed Williamson, Ali Gray | 23rd March 2012
There are two types of people in this world: people who are Don Draper, and people who aren't. In part two of Project Mad Men we focus on the second lot. Losers.

Project Mad Men: part one
TV Feature | Ed Williamson, Ali Gray | 21st March 2012
You'll all have heard of The Shiznit's Project Mayhem, no doubt. Show Fight Club in a cinema and get people to do stuff for it and bring photos along. That's all well and good, but here's something much more earthy, more real. The journey of two men who each decided to watch four seasons of Mad Men in a concentrated period, then talk about it a bit. We give you Project Mad Men. #projectmadmen

And this the muthafuckin' thanks he gets?

Apparently we're now inspired by adverts
TV Feature | Ed Williamson | 10th February 2012
A two-minute Superbowl halftime TV spot for Chrysler featuring Clint Eastwood seems to have all of America hugging each other, putting up flags and volunteering to go off and fight baseless imperialist wars, just like in the good ol' days just after 9/11. At this point, even I'm prepared to admit that TV's influence is getting a little out of control.

Mad Men ... that was the one with all the smoking, right?
TV Video | Ed Williamson | 10th January 2012
And the guy with the suits. What was he called, Dick Dastardly? Danny Dyer, something like that?

Bridesmaids
Movie Review | Ali | 21st June 2011
I apologise in advance, because I'm about to do my favourite film of the year a disservice by writing a fairly brief review. All you should know is that it is hands down the funniest, most enjoyable, most heartfelt comedy I've seen for years – not only is it probably the best wedding movie ever made, it's up there with the best comedies of the last ten years. If I must indulge the needless gender war it seems to have ignited, the girls of Bridesmaids have taken the boys of The Hangover to the cleaners. And then shot them.

Tide yourself over with Mad Men season four and a half
TV Feature | Ed Williamson | 13th June 2011
Grrr, no more Mad Men till 2012. This is seemingly down to network bigwigs arguing about stuff. But don't just sit around cursing anyone who's big and/or wears a wig: we've spent literally minutes plotting out an entire 2011 season just for you. Could you maybe put on a suit while you read it? It'll probably help it along.

Sucker Punch
Movie Review | Ali | 25th March 2011
Warning: this is going to be one of those reviews where I basically spend a thousand words completely picking holes in the film, only to give it three stars anyway - feel free to knock off a star if you're not easily impressed by shiny things (I am shallow and a horrible person). It says a lot about Sucker Punch that it can have such hugely obvious flaws and still remain enjoyable for the most part - if it wasn't executed with such panache it would probably qualify as one of the dumbest movies of 2011.

We’re moments away from the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmys, where the crème de la crème of television tell each other how amazing they are, and I’m going into this thing sober. It’s all for you…
