With the news surfacing like an unflushed turd that Universal are planning to remake Weird Science, we decided to ask the only source to which we had access what they thought about it. Yep, we asked the original film's trailer. Just go with it, OK? It's Sunday.

It seems like the only movies getting reboots lately are ones that were pretty good to start with (
Dredd, I guess, being the exception). Surely the whole point of rebooting something is that you bring it up to date, give it a new spin and improve on the flaws of the original in a new and exciting way? With that in mind, I look to Hollywood to remake
Stay Tuned: the TV satire that's gasping for a 21st century upgrade.

With a Point Break remake apparently in the balance, I thought it high time I weigh in on this important debate on one of the most talked about movies of the nineties.

Robo remake rolls on with new director and script, still more 'Gobots' than 'Transformers'.

There's still life in the home invasion genre yet, and by 'life', I do of course mean 'death caused by cinematic, gruesome violence'. Yay!

How you choose to take this remake of Dudley Moore's 1981 classic hinges entirely on your tolerance for a certain Russell Brand. Granted, his Arthur 2.0 is a slightly toned-down version of himself, and the pelvic thrusts, sex-mad antics, swearing and prank calls to aging comedians are at a minimum, but if you outright don't like the bloke, a top hat, tails and a cane is hardly going to change that.

Wait, they're remaking
Logan's Run? And director Carl Rinsch just quit to concentrate on '47 Ronin' with Keanu Reeves?! Holy shit, somebody get me an application form! Name: Luke; Age: 29; Relevant experience: played Simeon in primary school production of 'Joseph'.

In tonight's third remake-related news update (unless you consider The Expendables to be a remake of my wildest dreams), Anna Faris will play Private Benjamin. It's funny because war isn't for girls, see?

There are literally no more movies from the eighties to remake. Sorry Hollywood, the decade's dry. Move on to the nineties. Or better yet, eat a bag of dicks and die.
