Kurt Benson was believed not to be in things as we went to press.

A spokesperson for Bazz FM said her client was unavailable for comment, leading to speculation that Bazz FM might be in things again soon, possibly a Taggart reboot.

Poor Oscarless Leo. Just imagine the soul-crushing frustration that must come after enduring unimaginable feats of survival in the making of this film, only for everyone instead to talk about the (false) rumour that you get raped by a bear in it. Imagine having the fortitude of character to eat raw bison liver and climb inside a dead animal carcass for the sake of your art and then have all your efforts overshadowed by the collective public thinking that, at one point in the movie, a horny grizzly surprises you with a sexual ambush. And the worst part is, with all attention on that ridiculous story instead of Leo's dedication to his performance, it might actually cost him the Oscar. That bear might just end up fucking Leo after all.

Did they... Did they put makeup on Emily Blunt on the Sicario poster?

I've been walking past the poster for Emily Blunt's hitman drama Sicario for weeks now, but just assumed the one-sheet in Holborn station had been vandalised. Apparently that's not the case: every version of this Sicario poster has Emily Blunt made up to look like a Victorian prostitute.

Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials

At two hours and 11 minutes, The Scorch Trials should have been a pretty meaty filler in the YA sandwich that is Maze Runner. But like its stablemates The Hunger Games and Divergent, once all the scene-setting and introduction to the new dystopian world has been done, we're just trying to munch straight through to the good stuff. Scorch Trials is basically a big block of cheese you can't quite sink your teeth into, but there's a promise of an interesting chutney coming up, or some particularly nice bread. It's a bit bland and won't leave you particularly hungry for more.

Fast & Furious 7

For the first time since its inception in 2001, the Fast & Furious franchise was forced to hit the brakes. The unfortunate – but avoidable – death of Paul Walker in an automobile accident in November 2013 meant production on Part 7 skidded to a halt. Now, one year on from its planned release, Furious 7 rides into town after a respectful re-pimping – the muted colours on the poster suggests a star-studded funeral procession, but in actual fact, the latest instalment of The Franchise That Couldn't Slow Down is business as usual: cars, explosions, pecs (men), gussets (women), crap jokes and the most flagrant disrespect for physics since Sir Isaac Newton's naysayers suggested he stick his apple up his arse. You wouldn't call it a fitting tribute to Walker – I'm pretty sure the last thing his family needs to see is 250 cars exploding into fireballs – but you suspect it's what he, the fans and the studio would have wanted. So here we are. Amber turned to green. Let's go.

The Maze Runner

The Maze Runner is the latest movie from the sexy-teens-battle-it-out-in-a-dystopian-landscape stable, begging the question: do we really need another one? It's certainly a ripe breeding ground, and based on the evidence seen in Wes Ball's Young Adult adaptation it certainly can't hurt to squeeze another one in, even if The Maze Runner does think a little too highly of how teenage boys would cope on their own. I have an older brother and lived with five lads at university and I'm well aware they literally cannot stop touching themselves. Perhaps that's because back in my day, teen films were all about getting laid; in the future, teenagers have to figure out how to survive in hostile landscapes before they've even picked their GCSE options.
