  • A comprehensive timeline of Wesley Snipes trying to make Blade 4 happen

    Movie Feature | Matt Looker | 5th September 2018

In 2012, the rights to Blade reverted back to Marvel, meaning that MCU head honcho Kevin Feige is able to finally achieve his original goal behind creating his cinematic universe in the first place: to greenlight and release Blade 4, starring a 56-year-old Wesley Snipes.

  • Dracula 'Untold', eh?

    Movie News | Ali Gray | 16th June 2014

    Seems unlikely.

  • Films on TV round-up: robots, vampires and WAR

    TV Feature | Ed Williamson | 29th May 2011

By astonishing coincidence, the key themes of this week's three featured films are exactly those of the script I've been trying to get Hollywood interested in: 'Last Cyborg Out of Saigon: The Bloodsuckening'. Spent three days shopping it round Cannes but there wasn't much take-up, if I'm honest. I mean, I'm not saying it's Citizen Kane or anything but you'd think I'd at least get a call-back off Michael Bay, right?

  • Win Let Me In on DVD

    Movie Competition | Ali | 7th March 2011

Let the right one in, if 'the right one' is Let Me In on DVD and 'in' means 'in your letterbox'. Because if you win, I'll post it to you!

  • Best TV Vampires

    TV Feature | Alex Gregg | 3rd January 2011

Every horror fan, young or old, have their own perception of vampires. For me, if they’re not ‘bumpy’ in the forehead region with yellowing eyes, they just ain’t cutting it as a vampire. This is coming from a die-hard Buffy fan, unsurprisingly. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of TV vampires that still get me riled up…so, in an attempt to break away from my Buffster obsession, I have generously compiled a list of my favourite (and the best!) TV vampires.

  • Let Me In trailer: a vampire remake that doesn't suck?

    Movie Trailer | Ali | 1st July 2010

The first trailer for the US remake of Let The Right One has emerged online, and ... er, it looks pretty ace, actually. See for yourself.

  • Sam Worthington to play Dracula?

    Movie News | Matt | 26th January 2010

With Avatar now officially the highest grossing film of all time, Sam Worthington can now look around him, say "My work here is done" and move on to making the same kind of movies as everyone else. Vampire movies.

  • Daybreakers

    Movie Review | Ali | 10th January 2010

Rather like how human blood is in short supply in this vampire thriller, original ideas are a scarce commodity in Hollywood these days. The vampire genre in particular has been sucked dry so completely by Twi-hards and tweenies, the moment screenwriters Michael and Peter Spierig pitched the very adult concept for Daybreakers, desperate producers must have sunk their teeth into it like thirsty bloodsuckers.

  • Why vampires should bite, not suck

    Movie Feature | Andy | 26th November 2009

Teen girls suck. There, I said it. And I don't mean in the "verify your credit card to access" internet specialist site way that makes you feel vaguely dirty and seedy even if you are researching a book or something.

  • The Twilight Saga: New Moon

    Movie Review | Matt | 22nd November 2009

Let's forget for a moment that the Twilight Saga is a virus rapidly infiltrating every facet of our society and instead ask: can a global phenomenon currently smashing box-office records still warrant a negative review? The answer is yes. Yes, it can.
