It's like Super 8, but if JJ Abrams got, like, totally blazed.
I fear for Paul, the new sci-fi comedy from Greg 'Superbad Mottola and starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost; not because it doesn't look funny, which it kind of does, but because it's a movie aimed at geeks. And if 2010 has taught us anything, it's that movies aimed at geeks tend to get wedgied by the bigger jock movies. Scott Pilgrim is still hanging from its pants on a coat hook in the Hollywood changing room.
It's nice to see that, even when he's playing an CGI extra-terrestrial, Seth Rogen still talks like Seth Rogen. Why bother changing up your act? You can even see him smoking a joint. I bet whichever Korean animator had to render that scene brought shame upon his family.
