Forget the shitty bootlegs: the official teaser trailer for The Dark Knight Rises is here. It's almost like Batman was waiting for us to come back online before he rose again.
It's mad scary how quickly 2012 is hovering on the horizon like some terrifying bus waiting to take us to the future. Before you know it, it'll be next summer and we'll all be moaning about traffic congestion caused by the Olympics, calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Miliband and wetting our bat-pants over The Dark Knight Rises, surely now the most anticipated blockbuster of next year.
Some of you may have already seen the first micro-teaser in front of Harry Potter in cinemas; others may have greedily devoured the shakycam bootleg that leaked on the web like a horrible obese child eating his Easter eggs in February. Others, like me, wanted to wait until the official HD trailer was on the web. Because I enjoy being self-righteous and smug. So here it is. Now with 23% new footage!
Not bad, huh? As teasers go, I mean. There's nothing too mental in there to get excited about, other than a quick flash of Tom Hardy's Bane and a pre-throwdown Bat-bounce like something out of a Street Fighter loading screen. It's enough. Does what it says on the tin: teases and tickles, like a mischievous flirt.
The Dark Knight Rises is released on July 20th, 2012, which is basically tomorrow. Just imagine if it actually was out tomorrow! Sorry, got myself a bit excited there. Sad face.
