The final chapter of Harry Potter - okay, the first half of the final chapter - is upon us. I know it sounds strange, but I'm going to miss those goofy bastards when they're gone.
Something called the MTV Movie Awards happened over the weekend, and apart from R-Patz macking K-Stew and Scar-Jo pashing San-Bull, the most exciting event was the debut of the first trailer for Harry Potter And THe Deathly Hallows: Part I. You can tell it's a clip from MTV because it's book-ended by inexplicable hollering.
I know, the acting still seems like a particularly expensive school play, and the script is rustier than a spazzy hinge ("Your parents are dead! You have no family!" BURN!) but it's easy to get accustomed to these characters given that they've been around for so long. And really, you can't fault a cast that includes Alan Rickman, John Hurt and Ralph Fiennes.
I think I'll miss you most of all, Rupert Grint. Because unless there's a Thunderpants sequel in production I don't know about, I get the feeling we won't be seeing much more of you.
