Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time trailer

YouTube, of all places, is home to the first trailer for Mike Newell's Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time videogame adaptation. What say the judges? Well, it's very... beige. And there's lots of sand. That's good, right?
Jerry Bruckheimer has been hyping Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time for a while now - any poor sucker who saw Confessions Of A Shopaholic might have seen the first glimpse of the poster - but this is the first proper footage we've seen so far. It's no teaser, either - it contains 146 seconds of full-fat Arabic action.
First impressions? It looks very busy, with plenty of platform leaping, presumably intended as an homage to fans of the game but actually likely to be as frustrating as watching someone else play it. Also, you can tell it's a Jerry Bruckheimer movie, because every time they show you a new location, a damn helicopter circles round it in slo-fast-mo until you get vertigo.
I'd like to get another look at it in Quicktime, or basically anything clearer than YouTube's LEGOvision, but it looks like a pretty sound action flick to me. Even Jake Gyllenhaaal's British accent sticks - perhaps he learned from fellow vowel thief Peter Sarsgaaard.
Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time will be released worldwide on 27 May, 2010.
