I'll admit, straight out of the gate: Jack Kerouac's On The Road is not one of the one-and-a-half books I have read. However, I don't think you need to be a 'reader' to recognise that the movie's poster quotes this far are frightfully pretentious and really quite naff. In fact, they could easily be confused with the words of homespun wisdom regularly dispensed by Wernham-Hogg regional manager, David Brent. Let's play a game!

0-3: Oh dear. You are clearly neither a literature buff or one of the several million people who was given The Office on DVD for Christmas despite already owning a copy. You are a dunce: fact.
4-7: Not bad. The two sources are easily confused. All of the quotes sound like they were said by David Brent if you put a "... yeah?" after them. You still probably won't be seeing On The Road in cinemas.
8-10: You are Jack Kerouac. Or David Brent.
