Iron Man 2 poster: whuup-aahh!
Movie News
It's poster-geddon! Following War Machine's poster debut a few moons back, and the boring, beardy Tony Stark poster that I ignored, here's Mickey Rourke's Whiplash, showing off his sparkly rods.
Not being a comic-book fan, I'm unsure as to what kind of role Don Cheadle's War Machine plays in Iron Man 2, but because his poster featured angry clouds and Cheadle is black, I'll assume he's a bad guy.
No such ambiguity with Mickey Rourke's character, Ivan Vanko aka Whiplash aka Scary Russian Masseuse. His hair is over his face. He has tattoos and wears prison-ordered orange trousers. And he's got bloody great electric whips coming out of his wrists to really work that tension out. He's obviously the comic relief.
Hopefully next week we'll get a glimpse at Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow. And that's not an allegory for her vagina. Or is it? Come back next week and find out!
