Mark Gruffalo playing Hulk now?

Tomorrow: John Travolta to play Hulk? Friday: Nicolas Cage to play Hulk? Saturday: Danny Trejo to play Hulk? Oh god it's the new Spider-Man. And this site does NOT look good in green.
Three Hulk stories on the homepage? HULK SMASH RECORD! It's barely a week old, but the story of Edward Norton's dismissal from The Avengers, and the subsequent hunt to replace him, is boring already. Norton got canned for being a greedy goose; Joaquin Phoenix allegedly shuffled his way out of an audition; now Mark Ruffalo is apparently in the frame. And probably Josh Hutcherson too. And Aaron Johnson.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. One the one hand, Mark Ruffalo is an excellent actor who I like very much. On the other hand, the Hulk is a terrible, terrible role for anyone with even a modicum of talent. And I can't picture someone with the surname 'Ruffalo' reaching spaz-out levels of anger. He sounds like a brand of quilted toilet tissue.
I fully expect this saga to run for at least another week, by which point the entire site will be populated with Hulk stories and Rupert Everett will be the front-runner. Guh. Just cast Taylor Lautner and be done with it.
