Movie poster round-up: killers, salmons and bastard bears

This French poster for Mirror Mirror is so much better than any other offerings so far - only slightly marred by the fact that the title they've used over there translates as "White Power". I think - we've already established my French isn't very good.


The first film warmed my cold robot heart, so Despicable Me 2 is more than welcome. These annoying shitty little pricks can fuck the fuck off, however.


No sarcasm or childishness, ParaNorman looks really great and this poster is really great. Everything is really great, hooray for everything!


A more exciting title for Salmon Fishing In The Yemen would have been 'Mission: Improbable', and instead of dredging love from the bottom of each other's hearts or something, Emily Blunt and Ewan McGregor should spend the entire film throwing dynamite in a river.


Ali already wrote about the confusing shambles surrounding The Avengers, and Marvel's attempts to avoid confusion with the British series and film of the same name. You can see why they did it, though - put a bowler hat on the Hulk and they're practically the same thing.


The look on their faces on this poster for To The Arctic 3D says "poor bastard bears" but the Thing-esque typeface says "Ima make your DNA my bitch". Which begs the question: is Meryl Streep the Thing?
