The Night Manager
TV Review | Ed Williamson | 8th April 2016
Dayman! Uhh-AHH-ahh! Fighter of the Night Manager! Is all I could think of when I heard the title. Then I found out it had House and Loki in it, and I was on board, although still mainly for the Dayman thing.

Spooks: The Greater Good
Movie Review | Matt Looker | 29th April 2015
Spooks The TV Show was always a cut above regular television. Each of its 10 series was densely plotted with subterfuge, moral dilemmas and shock deaths, but even if you immediately lost track of the complicated details within, you could still enjoy the tension, twists and conspiracies at a surface level. But how does that all translate to the big screen for Spooks The Movie? Do we have a Hollywoodised version with airborne car chases and a Jay-Z soundtrack? Nah. All that we have here is really just more of the same. The question is: is that necessarily a bad thing?

Yeah, so Homeland's gone off the boil a bit
TV Feature | Ed Williamson | 19th December 2012
I saw a tweet a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday night. It said: "It's a shame Homeland's shit now." This might be an example of the social media user's tendency to describe everything in extreme terms, but it highlighted a worrying drop-off in the quality of one of the best new shows in years. No, it's not shit - far from it - but it's made some odd choices in its second season.

Homeland game is C-I-Ace
TV Video | Ed Williamson | 1st March 2012
This Homeland YouTube game appears to have been around since November. But it's new on me, so it must be on you, right? It's not like you know how to work the internet. Try it: this is the first time I've been impressed by something on YouTube since that toddler who can play I Shot the Sheriff on the glockenspiel.

Homeland - season one, episode 1
TV Review | Ed Williamson | 20th February 2012
Damian Lewis means to kill us all, the ginger bastard. I always knew it. Right about now I'm suspecting everyone of being an Al-Qaeda sleeper, even my mum. That's how good Homeland is.

Homeland: turns out Muslims WERE trying to kill you all along
TV Feature | Ed Williamson | 8th February 2012
I bloody knew it. Nah, just joshin' with ya. They're a good bunch really, just not a patch on the Buddhists. Those cats don't give you any trouble. I can count on one hand the number of times a Buddhist's tried to start some shit with me. It's twice, and one of them was mainly my fault.

Homeland to bring "is Claire Danes fit or not?" debate to UK
TV Video | Ed Williamson | 20th July 2011
Because it's not an easy one to figure out, is it? From some angles she looks all right, but then her mouth's a bit weird ... yeah, I don't know. Let me go and watch a few episodes of My So-Called Life and I'll get back to you. What? She was how old when they shot that? Um ... right. Maybe I'll just leave it alone then.
