If Will Ferrell isn’t careful, people will start mistaking him for one of those proper actors. On his IMDb filmography, nestled between comedies inevitably starring John C. Reilly, you’ll find the likes of Melinda & Melinda and Stranger than Fiction. Proof, that when not running around in his pants screaming and shouting and generally being a bit much, the guy can do serious.

  • The Men Who Stare At Goats

    Movie Review | Rob | 11th November 2009

Ewan McGregor, you may remember, is actually an actor, and a pretty good one at that. When he's not gallivanting around the world with Charley Boorman on a bike, getting a sore arse, he does occasionally find time to make a film or two.

  • The Soloist

    Movie Review | Matt | 24th September 2009

Mental illness? Homelessness? A man battling all odds to express his extraordinary gift? Based on a true story? Yes, it's 'Oscar Winning by Numbers' and it comes from a bunch of people who are already familiar with the golden baldie, so it's kind of a shoo-in for the Academy Awards.

  • Dodgeball

    Movie Review | Ali | 12th September 2004

"I find it's best not to have a goal - aim low, and that way you're never disappointed." It happens to be gym owner Peter LaFleur's life philosophy, but it's also a maxim that serves Dodgeball fairly well - after all, a film that's essentially about throwing balls at people could hardly fail to deliver what it promises. Aiming low is exactly what Dodgeball does best - in fact, it aims for around crotch height, targeting the easiest gut laugh each and every time.
