Sneak peek at next year's 2016 MTV Movie Awards categories
Movie Feature | Ali Gray | 13th April 2015
People think the Oscars marks the end of awards season in Hollywood, but people are stupid and ugly and wrong and old, because the MTV Movie Awards happened over the weekend and it sure looked like they were giving out awards to me. With Selma actor David Oyelowo suffering more heartbreak with defeat at the hands of The Maze Runner's Dylan O'Brien and Jennifer Lopez triumphing in the 'Best Scared As Shit Performance' category, it was an evening of high tension and very serious drama. Join us as we expose a leaked document that reveals the categories already selected for next year's 2016 Movie Awards, hosted by, I don't know, Drake or something.

Ant and Dec win Baftas nobody else entered
TV News | Ed Williamson | 21st May 2014
In an astonishing category sweep on Monday night, Ant and Dec went home with two Bafta awards: one for Best TV Presenter Duo From The Greater Tyne-Tees Area and one for Best Two People Who Often Stand Near Each Other. "We are delighted," said AntDec. "It was a shame to miss out on Most Obvious Beneficiaries Of The Viewing Public's Low Expectations, but you can't win them all." They were later hit in pubs.

12 Years A Slave cruelly snubbed at 2014 MTV Movie Awards
Movie News | Ali Gray | 14th April 2014
Steve McQueen's Oscar-winning drama 12 Years A Slave was snubbed by esteemed MTV movie critics last night. Though it was nominated for Movie Of The Year, it was beaten by The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Nominated star Chiwetel Ejiofor went home empty-handed, with the Best Male Performance awarded to industry veteran Josh Hutcherson for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Oscar-winning newcomer Lupita Nyong'o also missed out, with Best Female Performance going to Jennifer Lawrence for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. To cap a miserable evening for Steve McQueen's movie, Chiwetel Ejiofor wasn't even nominated for Best Shirtless Performance.

Congratulations to Doogie Howser, emcee
TV News | Ed Williamson | 23rd September 2013
Well done to everyone's friend Neil Patrick Harris, who appears to have gone down a storm hosting the Emmys. I would congratulate everyone who won awards too, but in truth I only posted this to make the pun in the headline.

Because writing down quick thoughts and opinions about things as they happen is preferable to typing up a well-reasoned and cohesive article the next day.

Three Girls, one cup
TV News | Ed Williamson | 14th January 2013
Obviously this joke would work a lot better if the Golden Globe award looked anything like a cup. Congratulations to the excellent Girls and Lena Dunham for their awards. Could you maybe all enter the Ryder Cup this year so I can make the joke work?

Movie Feature | Ali | 26th March 2012
Due to an administration error, I have been given press accreditation to the Jameson Empire Awards 2012. I'm in the building, I have a laptop, and there's not a damn thing anyone can do to stop me. Except stop me.

Woke up this morning feeling pretty good about the year to come. Then I read these. It's all gone to shit now. I'm not even getting dressed this year.

Oh yeah, the Emmys happened, didn't they?
TV News | Ed Williamson | 22nd September 2011
And they're like the biggest awards thing in TV, right? And what is it we do on this website again? Shit, it's TV, isn't it? Don't suppose you could let this one slide?

People to get chance to win shiny things, claim bigger salaries
TV News | Ed Williamson | 14th July 2011
I think we can all agree that my previous attempts to cover awards ceremonies have been little short of masterclasses in research and presentation (ohai, TV BAFTAs and Saturns). What's this? The Emmy nominations, you say? Piece of piss.
